Volkswagen 6 gear 09G automatic transmission system solenoid valve can be divided into two shift position shift solenoid valve (switch solenoid valve) and electric pressure control solenoid valve (pressure regulating solenoid valve).

N88, N89 are shift solenoid valves, N90, N91, N92, N93, N282, N283 are electric pressure control valves. Shift solenoid valves are switch solenoid valves through which automatic transmission oil (ATF) oil pressure is controlled by hydraulic valves to open or close the automatic transmission oil channel.

Electric pressure control valves convert current directly to hydraulic pressure control.
N90 controls the oil pressure of clutch K3;
N91 controls the torque converter to lock the clutch oil pressure;
N92 controls the oil pressure of clutch K1;
N93 controls the oil pressure of the main oil circuit, and controls the pressure of the clutch and brake in the process of gear shift;
N282 controls the oil pressure of clutch K2;
N283 controls the oil pressure of brake B1;
 
Solenoid valves N88 and N89 are used for shift control in gear 4-6, and are briefly controlled alternately during the shift. In addition, the N88 and N89 control brake B2 in the first gear of the transmission manual/automatic transition mode for engine braking.
